Why and how do I delete cookies?

Sometimes cookies can prevent updates and fixes working for you. The fix is to delete your old cookies for Blended Teaching.

Cookies are the way your browser remembers things. Like where you've visited, what you've selected, etc. It remembers your choices through something called "Cookies". These are stored in your browser.

We often make updates to Blended Teaching. Most of the time, your browser will automatically use the most up-to-date version of the platform. But sometimes, it gets confused with its old cookies, and continues to show you the old version of the platform. This is normal, this happens with most platforms and websites.

Most of the time this will not be noticeable for you, or cause you any issues. But every now and then, in rare instances, this may be a problem. If that's the case, delete your cookies for Blended Teaching. No need to worry, your browser will make new cookies as soon as you come to Blended Teaching. 

Here are the instructions for removing cookies for Blended Teaching in your browser:

Google Chrome:
  1. Open Chrome and go to Settings.
  2. Click on Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies.
  3. Click on See all site data and permissions.
  4. Use the search box in the top right to find "blended-teaching.com".
  5. Click the delete icon (trash can) next to blended-teaching.com.
  6. Confirm by clicking Delete
Mozilla Firefox:
  1. Open Firefox and go to Settings (or Preferences on Mac).
  2. Select Privacy & Security and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
  3. Click the Manage Data… button.
  4. In the search box, type "blended-teaching.com" to find the site.
  5. Click Remove All Shown to delete all cookies and site data for blended-teaching.com.
  6. Click Save Changes and OK to confirm. 
Microsoft Edge:
  1. Open Edge and go to Settings.
  2. Click on Cookies and site permissions.
  3. Under Cookies and data stored, select Manage and delete cookies and site data.
  4. Click See all cookies and site data.
  5. Search for "blended-teaching.com".
  6. Click the down arrow next to the site and then the Delete icon (trash can). 
Safari (on Mac):
  1. Open Safari and go to Settings (or Preferences).
  2. Click on Privacy.
  3. Click Manage Website Data.
  4. Search for "blended-teaching.com".
  5. Select the website and click Remove.
  6. Click Done when finished.
