Should I pay Blended Teaching directly for access, or buy an access code from the Bookstore?
Most students buy access when they are signing up to Blended Teaching at the start of their class. But there are reasons as to why it may be preferable to buy an access code for some students.
There are two ways to pay for Blended Teaching:
1. Pay directly at the start of the class.
You are give the option to pay Blended Teaching directly via debit or credit card, or via tools like Klarna, during the signup process when you first access Blended Teaching at the start of class. Once you have paid, you will be able to access the materials.
Just click on the any of our content in Canvas or Blackboard, and you will be taken through to the payment page if we determine that you haven't already paid.
2. Buy an access code and use that at the start of the class.
During the signup process at the start of the class, instead of paying using card, you are also give the option to input a pre-paid access code. These access codes are available to buy from the university bookstore, or are also provided by inclusive access programs through the university.
It is often (although not always) more expensive to purchase voucher codes through intermediaries like bookstores and inclusive access programs, because the intermediaries want to get paid. But for some students, buying the access code through an intermediary allows them to defer the payment of the cost through student loan programs, bursaries, etc.
You have both options available to you, to pay directly or use a code, so the choice is yours 🙌
