How do I know if an ad-blocker is preventing Blended Teaching from working properly?
Ad blockers prevent Blended Teaching from working properly. We are continuously checking for ad blockers when you use us, and will let you know if you have an ad blocker issue. If you haven't been told you have an ad blocker issue, you're fine.
Your browser has built in software to prevent pesky ads appearing when you go to websites. But to integrate effectively into your course, Blended Teaching uses this same "ad" technology to track your progress. So we need to tell your browser that it's ok for Blended Teaching to use this "ad" technology.
What this means is that you turn off ad blockers for Blended Teaching, but don't worry, the ad blockers remain on for all other websites.
